Surf Courses & Hire - Scotland's Best.

We provide surf courses and lessons for all abilities from beginner through to advanced. Hire of wetsuits, bodyboards, snorkels and surfboards is also available.

Lessons

Taster Course: Paddling out, catching waves & possibly stand-up surfing. Basic surf & beach safety.
( 1 Session @ 2. 5 hours ) £30

Additional Lessons: These cost £25 per lesson and cover the following:

1 Day Course: Taking-off on waves, basic board control & refreshing of lesson 1.
( 2 Sessions @ 2. 5 hours )

2 Day Course: ’Popping up’, body position, board control, longer rides, correct use of the front & back feet, paddling correctly, types of waves & beachbreak conditions.
( 4 Sessions @ 2. 5 hours )

3 Day Course: Catching unbroken waves, turning the board & board control, turning the board on the wave face, body flexibility, style development, refreshing previous lessons, waves & weather to surf.
( 6 Sessions @ 2. 5 hours )

4 Day Course: Directional change & control, ’S’ turns on wave face, angled take-off, wave selection & timing, use of smaller boards, sitting on the board while waiting for waves, refreshing previous lessons, basic board design & personal surfing development.
( 8 Sessions @ 2. 5 hours )

5 Day Course: ’Set wave’ selection, timing & riding, top & bottom turns, holding position in the water, ’hard’ turn manoeuvres, refinement of skills, using rip currents safely & intermediate level surfing.
( 10 Sessions @ 2. 5 hours )

6 Day Course: Tighter turns, fast take-offs, changing feet, refinement of skills, types of waves & types of breaks.
( 12 Sessions @ 2. 5 hours )

7 Day Course: Cutbacks, steeper waves, late take-offs, nose-riding, stalling & accelerating techniques & surf rules or etiquette.
( 14 Sessions @ 2. 5 hours )

1 to 1 Tuition (Cost per hour) £25

2 hour lesson (school groups: price per pupil) £15

Beginner & intermediate courses are the same cost and duration. The courses are flexible and can be tailored to your requirements. Booking is recommended to ensure availability.
